Distress Call from the Wife of Egyptian Citizen "Ali Mohamed Mohamed Abdel Wanes"

news Saturday 18 October 2025

A distress message from the wife of Egyptian citizen "Ali Mohamed Mohamed Abdel Wanees" following his arrest on August 19 at 8 PM upon his arrival in Nigeria, after departing from Turkey earlier that same day, with no information on his whereabouts until now.

🔴 I am very fearful for Ali's unknown fate

And I am afraid for him from the injustice, oppression, and torture he is being subjected to

His concealment from us and the suspicious silence from the responsible parties keeps me living in a state of terror and doubt,

Is Ali still alive?!

I demand that the Turkish authorities, where my husband holds legal residency, intervene and urge the Nigerian government to disclose Ali's fate

And the measures taken regarding him

I also call on the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to intervene to prevent my husband's deportation to Egypt

For fear of his life

Please, try to convey my voice to officials, journalists, and human rights organizations
