🔴 Enforced disappearance of a young engineer after his home was raided in Shebin El-Kom

The Al-Shehab Human Rights Center expresses its deep concern regarding the continued enforced disappearance of the young man Amr Ashour El-Halwani, 28 years old and a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering, who was arbitrarily arrested from his home in the Monufia Governorate on June 17, 2025, without any legal basis.

According to his family's testimony, his mother was surprised by the raid of security forces on their home, led by the head of the Shebin El-Kom and Martyrs Center Investigations, who searched the entire house and confiscated Amr's computer, laptop, and mobile phone. They then took him with them after asking some questions and told her that he would return in a few minutes, but he has not returned yet.

🔻 Amr suffers from severe depression due to previous psychological pressures and difficult family circumstances, which increases concerns about his mental safety inside detention facilities, especially given the lack of any communication with him since the moment of his arrest until now.

✋🏼 The Al-Shehab Center demands the immediate disclosure of Amr El-Halwani's place of detention, allowing his family and lawyer to visit him, releasing him unconditionally, and holding accountable those responsible for his unlawful detention.
