🔴 Arrest of the spokesperson for the residents of Touson in Alexandria

A force from the National Security Agency in Alexandria arrested Abdullah Mohamed, the spokesperson for the residents of the Touson area, while he was working at "Bavaria" in Borg El Arab. He was taken to an unknown location without any reasons given or being presented to any investigative authority, following a failed attempt to storm his home two days prior – according to lawyer Mohamed Ramadan.

📍 Touson is located in Abu Qir – Montazah Second district, and is home to about 6,000 families threatened with eviction due to the new ring road project east of Alexandria, which requires the demolition of 227 buildings, including a church and three mosques.

✍️ The residents have submitted official complaints to the Presidency and relevant authorities, proposing an alternative route for the road to avoid their displacement, but their suggestions have not been discussed so far.
