news Wednesday 22 October 2025

The Al-Shehab Human Rights Center has received an appeal from the family of citizen engineer Mahmoud Hassan Ahmed Dawood.

The Al-Shehab Human Rights Center received an appeal from the family of citizen engineer Mahmoud Hassan Ahmed Dawood, stating that he was kidnapped by the National Security Forces in the early hours of Thursday, July 10, 2025, from his home located in Hadayek al-Quba – Cairo Governorate, after storming the apartment and destroying its contents.

According to his family's statements, they went to the National Security headquarters in Nasr City to inquire about him, but the security authorities denied having him in their custody. The family has also submitted several complaints to the Public Prosecutor, the Ministry of Interior, and the Prime Minister's Office without receiving any response so far, and engineer Mahmoud has not been presented to any investigative body nor has his place of detention been disclosed.

The Al-Shehab Human Rights Center holds the Ministry of Interior and National Security fully responsible for his safety, demanding the immediate disclosure of his place of detention, his release, and the cessation of the policy of enforced disappearance against citizens.
