🚨 Save Dr. Sherine Shawky Ahmed Moawad from slow death inside the Tenth of Ramadan Prison
The Al-Shehab Human Rights Center is deeply concerned about the severe deterioration in the health condition of Dr. Sherine Shawky Ahmed Moawad, who is detained in Tenth of Ramadan Prison, amid harsh detention conditions and medical neglect that directly threaten her life.
▪️ Dr. Sherine suffered a complete collapse and lost consciousness, which necessitated her transfer to the prison hospital, after being held in what is known as "the revenue," where she was forced to sleep on the floor without a mattress or blanket, in inhumane conditions.
▪️ Tests revealed that she is suffering from very severe anemia, in addition to serious liver and heart problems, with a rapid health decline since Monday, December 29, until now.
▪️ Since her entry into prison, she has been wearing the same clothes, after her clothes were torn in front of her, and despite having clothes brought to her twice, they have not been delivered to her until today, in a clear violation of her most basic human rights.
▪️ She has been detained with female inmates on criminal charges, which has caused her severe psychological and nervous stress, negatively impacting her health condition and contributing to its deterioration.
▪️ Dr. Sherine is detained solely for defending her husband, who has been imprisoned for six years and suffers from a thyroid tumor, facing a similar health risk due to medical neglect.
⚖️ The continuation of these conditions poses a real danger to her life, and holds the management of the Tenth of Ramadan Rehabilitation Center fully responsible for any complications that may arise.
📌 Urgent demands:
Immediate permission to deliver clothes and bedding without delay.
Provision of urgent and comprehensive medical care commensurate with the seriousness of her condition.
Immediate transfer to a specialized hospital outside the prison if her condition requires it.
Stop all forms of inhumane treatment and respect her dignity and legal rights.
Open an urgent and independent investigation into the incidents of medical neglect and the violations she has been subjected to.
The right to life and health care is an inherent right that cannot be diminished under any circumstances.
