The Al‑Shehab Human Rights Center reports with deep concern the severe and dangerous deterioration in the health condition of lawyer “Najaḥ Muhammad Mabrook,” who is being held inside Minya Leiman Prison. He is struggling with slow death as a result of deliberate medical negligence and systematic deprivation of treatment, despite his having acute kidney failure.

📌 Details of the violation and direct responsibility:

Deliberate medical neglect: Denying Mr. Najaḥ of the medications and medical care necessary for his condition, and ignoring his urgent need to be transferred immediately to a specialized hospital appropriate to the seriousness of kidney failure.

Violation of the sanctity of the medical profession: These practices take place under the supervision of the officer-doctor “Mustafa Ḥafẓi,” who obstructs the provision of treatment and exploits the prison clinic to harass and restrict detainees.

Attempted intentional killing: The delay in transferring the sick detainee to high-level care poses a direct threat to his life and constitutes conduct that rises to “slow liquidation” within places of detention.

Immediate transfer for treatment: Transfer lawyer Najaḥ Muhammad Mabrook immediately and without delay to a specialized hospital outside the prison to receive dialysis and high-level care.
