🔴 Concerns of Extrajudicial Killing After Arrest of Two Young Men Appearing in Video Demanding Lifting the Siege on Gaza

Al-Shehab Human Rights Center expresses its deep concern for the safety of the two young men, Ahmed Abdel Wahab and Mohsen Mustafa, following the announcement by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior regarding their arrest. This occurred after they appeared in a widely circulated video on social media, in which they called on the Egyptian authorities to lift the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip and announced their storming of the State Security Agency building in Ma'sara.

Despite the ministry's acknowledgment of their arrest in an official statement, it has not yet disclosed their identities or the location of their detention, which raises fears of their potential enforced disappearance or extrajudicial killing.

📍 Al-Shehab Center affirms that the continued practice of enforced disappearance and extrajudicial killing of detainees constitutes a crime that does not lapse over time, and holds the Egyptian authorities fully responsible for the lives and safety of the two young men.

The center demands:

Immediate disclosure of the location of detention for Ahmed Abdel Wahab and Mohsen Mustafa

Enabling their families and lawyers to communicate with them

Ensuring their physical and psychological safety

Respect for their full legal and human rights
