“Medical Neglect.. Systematic Torture”
With the attendance of a distinguished group of human rights advocates and public figures
On the occasion of the World Day in Support of Victims of Torture, and in affirmation of every person’s right to life, human dignity, and healthcare within places of detention.
We are honored to invite you to attend and cover the activities of the joint human rights conference, which is held in cooperation with a number of human rights institutions, with broad participation from the families of detainees and the relatives of victims.
📌 Conference themes:
• Criminalization of torture in international instruments and national laws
• The right to treatment constitutionally and legally
• Images of medical neglect and its negative effects
• Listening to direct testimonies from detainees’ families about the health condition of their loved ones.
• Presenting human rights reports documenting the policy of medical neglect as a tool of systematic torture.
• Discussing accountability mechanisms and international and regional pressure to protect detainees.
