The disappearance of young man Ali Nassar Ali Alian continues since February 2018 after completing his studies at the Nursing Institute in Arish

Al-Shehab Human Rights Center monitors the continued disappearance of young man Ali Nassar Ali Alian, who was 20 years old, and hails from the Al-Munbatih area in North Sinai Governorate, since 15 February 2018, with no disclosure so far of his whereabouts or fate.

According to information received by the Center, Ali completed his studies at the Technical Institute of Nursing in the city of Arish, where he was preparing to begin his working life. He started finalizing the papers and procedures related to military service in preparation for joining a job, before his news was cut off from the date mentioned.

His disappearance has continued for more than eight years, with no information available about his whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, amid fears for his life and safety, and the human suffering experienced by his family as a result of the ongoing ambiguity surrounding his fate.

Al-Shehab Human Rights Center expresses its deep concern about Ali Nassar Ali Alian’s continued disappearance over all these years, especially since he was at the beginning of his working life after completing his studies. The Center stresses that depriving his family of knowing his fate for this long requires urgent intervention by the competent authorities.

The Center calls on the Public Prosecutor and the relevant authorities to immediately reveal his whereabouts and fate, conduct a serious and independent investigation into the circumstances of his disappearance, ensure his physical and psychological safety, enable his family to feel reassured about him, and release him immediately if it is established that he is being held without any legal basis.
